Moolack Beach

Moolack Beach is an undeveloped sandy beach on the Oregon Coast about 4 miles north of Newport in Lincoln County. It is almost 8 km in length with the south end at Yaquina Head and the north end at Otter Rock, the site of Devils Punch Bowl State Natural Area.

Rock Hunting

A good place for agate and jasper hunting — harder to find during the summer, but they are still there hidden under the sand. Search the cobbles in Coal Creek where it enters at Moolack Beach. You can find fossils here year-round, with the best times to search being at low tide.
